About the Speaker

Ilyena Hirskyj-Douglas is a Lecturer from The University of Glasgow who researches how to design and build novel systems for animals to access computer systems. The technology Ilyena makes focuses on animal-controlled and internet-connected systems. Her work includes systems for monkeys in zoos and dogs in the home. Hirskyj-Douglas looks at how to build computer systems designed to fit the animals' needs and what animals would use computer systems for.
